Guy Mallabone is President & CEO of Global Philanthropic Canada. He’s served as Vice-President of External Relations for SAIT Polytechnic and Chief Development Officer for the University of Alberta, as well as worked in senior fundraising positions at the Canadian Red Cross Society and cultural non-profit organizations.

Guy was as a member of the International Board of Directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the CFRE Professional Certification Board, and served as a Board member with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce,  the Council for Advancement & Support of Education (District VIII) and the Calgary Chamber for Voluntary Organizations.

He taught Fundraising Management at Grant MacEwan College, in Edmonton, and is currently an Adjunct Professor for the Master in Fundraising program at the University of Bologna, in Italy. He’s a regular speaker on fund development and a regular presenter at international conferences. Guy was recognized as one of Alberta’s most influential citizens (2009) by Alberta Venture Magazine, one of Calgary’s 20 most compelling citizens by the Calgary Herald (2009), and Outstanding Fundraising Executive by both AFP Edmonton Chapter (1999) and AFP Calgary Chapter (2011).

Guy has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and a Masters of Arts degree in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota. He obtained his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 1995.
