With more than two decades of experience in the development sector, Sayed Farhad Hashimi has dedicated his career to improving the quality of life of individuals and communities. Sayed started as a research assistant with Save the Children in 2002 and was promoted to program officer to improve the well-being of those affected by war. He also managed three national NGO partners and contributed to developing resources and capacity in South and Central Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2008, Sayed joined the Afghan Ministry of Rural Development to support institutional development and manage the implementation of the UNDP\u2019s National Area-Based Development Program. Later, he advised the Minister of Interior Affairs and Minister of Economy on strategic planning, change and project management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He worked for more than 10 years as Director of Education and research for Sesame Workshop\u2019s Baghche-Simsim project in Afghanistan, managing the project and developing educational content that empowered children and met their cognitive, physical and socio-emotional developmental needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sayed has a BA from the American University of Afghanistan, and WES evaluated his coursework for a Master of International Relations as equivalent to 1.5 years of graduate studies in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He’s excited about the MPNL program, and looks forward to connecting with nonprofit leaders and organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
