“Listening Across Distance: Network Arts Works”
Sarah Weaver will present an overview of the contemporary network arts field, excerpts from projects 2006-2021, and evolutions of the work into the future. Through work with network arts pioneers the medium has been shaped by development of artistic and technological strategies, inspiration through interconnectivity, and social purpose in transcending distance in many forms. The pandemic and unrest have activated the work in new ways to continue and expand these trajectories to address the challenges of our times. Weaver will discuss practical and inspirational aspects of the work for local and international frameworks in the field.
