After the tragic passing of Riley Taylor in 2022, his parents, Dave Dudley (Dave\u2019s Drum Shop) and Christine Taylor (Carleton Library), and sister Shyla (MA Music and Culture graduate) set up a scholarship in his name for current Music students at Carleton. It was awarded for the first time last year to Quinn Beneteau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial response from the community has been very generous,  and so the family is now fundraising for a second<\/em> award to benefit an incoming Music student. \u201cRiley\u2019s Picks\u201d<\/a> is a concert fundraiser on  Thursday November 21st at House of Targ<\/strong> (1077 Bank St).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three different bands will play, including our own Wayne Eagles\u2019 <\/strong>Super Awesome Club<\/em>, as well as this year\u2019s recipient of the award, Jude Zappala<\/strong>, who will perform with a few other Carleton Music students. Promises to be a fun night of music, food and silent auction. Doors open at 8pm. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
