His publications include monographs on various aspects of twelfth- and thirteenth-century music, facsimile editions, and articles appearing in various British, American and Canadian journals. For many years, he was co-editor of Dovehouse Editions, which produced some 55 editions of Renaissance and Baroque chamber music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Gillingham also served as director and general editor for the Institute of Mediaeval Music, which published about 120 books during his editorship. Dr. Gillingham served as the Director of the Music program at Carleton from 1984 until 1991 and as Director of the School for Studies in Art and Culture from 1997 until he retired in 2009.
