People in cities across Canada are working to conserve nature through nature-based programs. Our team is looking at how these programs benefit wellbeing, social equity, and biodiversity.<\/p>\n

OUR GOAL<\/h4>\n

Our goal is to identify the information needed to maximize the benefits of urban nature-based programs. We are focusing on projects that support social equity since this is essential to healthy cities.<\/p>\n

OUR RESEARCH METHOD<\/h4>\n

Our team is using a survey and a virtual workshop to gather information on urban nature-based projects. Participants to the survey and workshop include practitioners, researchers, policy-makers, knowledge holders, and community leaders.<\/p>\n

\"\"We have also created an Equitable Cities Living Database and Map<\/a> of urban nature-based programs. Organizations can submit their own urban nature-based project to be featured on the map.<\/p>\n

OUR TEAM<\/h4>\n

We are an interdisciplinary team<\/a> with skills in ecology, epidemiology, policy, social sciences, and urban planning.
