What are you doing now (program or career path)? 

I am currently an Addiction and Mental Health Counselor, I work with pregnant and parenting teens. I am also working toward my Masters in Counselling Psychology.

What stood out about your experience in Carleton’s Department of Neuroscience?

I really enjoyed my time at Carleton. The addictions classes I took as part of my degree are the reason I continued my education in addiction treatment. As a student, I also had the opportunity to volunteer in a neuroscience lab. That was a really beneficial experience!

Do you have any advice for incoming students?

Take your time and find something you love! When I first started at Carleton, I changed my mind daily about what I wanted to do. It took time before I really found what I loved.
