Faculty have a range of research interests, each of which relate to investigations of mechanisms of brain pathology and their influence on mental health. We commonly explore the impact of psychological and environmental stressors on the brain in order to understand how various factors that can damage the brain and/or disrupt homeostasis result in pathology.

Cross-appointed faculty are faculty members at Carleton University who are primarily members of other departments, but who have research interests in neuroscience and can generally supervise (or co-supervise) both undergraduate honours projects and graduate students.
Adjunct professors are associated with the Department of Neuroscience but are not employed by Carleton University. They can generally co-supervise both undergraduate honours projects and graduate students.
