It feels like such a great fit. I have already learned so many different hearing tests and have an otoscope!&nbsp;My experience in neuroscience prepared me for the neuroanatomy involved, and the background we learned in hearing was also helpful. There is a lot of speech science, which has been the biggest learning curve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The previous year, I completed a MCISc in applied health science at western online while working full time at a daycare in the glebe. In this program I had the opportunity to complete a capstone project at an occupational therapy clinic. For this project I worked on program development for an Occupational Therapist who runs a chronic pain management program. My neuro knowledge came in handy for a lot, but I also learned so much more about chronic pain beyond that. After completing my capstone, I was offered a job at the clinic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had and will have in audiology from having Carleton Neuro professors as my reference.
