Dr. Nicholson also holds the Atlas Institute Chair of Minority Stress and Trauma Research and is a Scientist at the University of Ottawa\u2019s Institute of Mental Health Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicholson\u2019s research investigates the neural correlates of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related mental health conditions, with the goal of advancing innovative, evidence-based treatments. His work also examines the neural mechanisms of minority stress through an intersectional lens, addressing how systemic inequities shape brain processes and mental health outcomes.
