It has since gained traction and has come to represent the everyday &#8220;good&#8221; in the Carleton community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session was facilitated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.derrickfeldmann.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Derrick Feldmann<\/a>, a social movement adviser, author and consultant on Here for Good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis idea of Here for Good is a powerful one,\u201d said Feldmann. \u201cIt speaks to Carleton\u2019s permanence &#8211; that we\u2019re here to stay. The conference opened the door to homeless youth to share their experiences with policy-makers and shelter co-ordinators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are spoiled with examples of Here for Good,\u201d said one participant. \u201cThe trouble we have now is to determine how we get all the stories out there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notes were taken at the tables and will be compiled into a report that will be posted on the Board of Governors website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday was filled with thoughtful, engaging and honest conversations,\u201d Nordenstrom said in his closing remarks. \u201cHearing your stories matters.
