Carleton University alumna, former Ravens water polo star, and Canada Sports Hall of Famer Waneek Horn-Miller spoke to the CBC\u2019s Beyond the Win <\/em>about her experiences during the 1990 Oka Crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horn-Miller, a Mohawk of Kahnawake, was seriously injured during the conflict after being stabbed by a bayonet. In this interview, she spoke about the power of sport, how it helped her recover from her injuries, and how it can play a role in Canada\u2019s reconciliation efforts with Indigenous communities.<\/p>\n\n\n
