Smart Home Solutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As Canada’s population ages, the race is on to develop solutions to help older adults age in place safely and with dignity. In partnership with the Bruy\u00e8re Research Institute<\/a> and AGE-WELL Network of Centres of Excellence<\/a>, Carleton researchers are developing supportive smart home systems to address this growing problem.<\/p>\n\n\n

“We’re bringing together emerging technology, aging adults, industry partners and clinical expertise,” says Bruce Wallace<\/a>, executive director of the Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility and Memory<\/a> (SAM3<\/sup>) AGE-WELL National Innovation Hub. “It’s time to get this technology out of the laboratory and into the community.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
