\n Three Carleton Alumni Named to Canada’s 2026 Top 40 Under 40 List\n <\/h1>\n \n <\/header>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Three Carleton University alumni have been named to Canada’s 2026 Top 40 Under 40 list, a national awards program recognizing young business leaders, visionaries and innovators for their professional achievements and contributions to their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s honourees were selected by an independent advisory board of 18 industry leaders from across Canada. Carleton graduates Natalie Adomait, Jamie Heard and Robert Lennox join a network of national and global business leaders that inspire others and give back to their communities and to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalie Adomait<\/strong> is managing partner and chief operating officer at Brookfield Energy. After graduating from Carleton’s international business<\/a> program in the Sprott School of Business<\/a> in 2011, she joined Brookfield Asset Management and rose through the ranks to managing partner at age 32.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adomait played a central role in launching Brookfield’s inaugural Global Transition Fund, which raised a record $15 billion in just 16 months to support the transition to a net-zero economy. Today, she oversees asset management and strategic oversight for a $140 billion portfolio of renewable energy and transition assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, Adomait was a recipient of Sprott’s Early Achievement Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie Heard<\/strong> is vice-president of capital markets at Tourmaline Oil Corporation, where his responsibilities include mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, investor relations and strategy. A 2010 commerce<\/a> graduate who studied finance and economics at Carleton, Heard joined Tourmaline in 2019 after working in banking, research and investment roles at Barclays, BMO, Citadel and Castleton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selected to become the company’s next chief financial officer in November, Heard also advises future finance professionals through mentorship with student investment funds at Carleton<\/a> and the University of Calgary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert Lennox<\/strong> is scientific director of the Ocean Tracking Network and a professor of biology at Dalhousie University. He completed his PhD in biology<\/a> at Carleton in 2018, earning the Governor General’s Medal and the University Medal for Outstanding Graduate Work at the Doctoral Level<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lennox’s work uses electronic tagging and tracking technologies to better understand how fish and other aquatic animals respond to climate change and ocean urbanization. Through the Ocean Tracking Network, he supports research and partnerships that strengthen Canada’s ability to grow its blue economy and monitor aquatic ecosystems and inform sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
