She can also discuss the consequences of October 7, the aftermath on Israeli and Palestinian realities, protection of Israeli and Palestinian civilians, the genocide and ethnic cleansing debates, the Board of Peace and where we are nationally and internationally regarding the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She has written a book entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/book\/10.1007\/978-3-031-20390-9\"><em>National and International Civilian Protection Strategies in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> and she is working on a new book<em>, Canadian Foreign Policy after October 7th and War on Gaza<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spitka conducts research on intervention in violent conflicts, gender, Global Responsibility to Protect (R2P), children in conflict and human security. Her research is focused on violent and non-violent conflicts in Europe and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spitka has worked on conflict resolution and peacebuilding projects in the Middle East and Europe.
