\n Carleton University to Release Major Study of Police in Peel Region Schools\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Carleton University will hold a news conference to release an extensive independent study of the value of the Peel Regional Police\u2019s School Resources Officer (SRO) program conducted by professors Linda Duxbury and Craig Bennell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The report is based on a survey of nearly 1,300 Grade 9 students, a review of daily records kept by SROs, ride-alongs during their workdays, a social return on investment analysis, and nearly 100 interviews with SROs and their supervisors, school administrators and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire report and summaries will be available online at 7 a.m. on Jan. 10 at www.carleton.ca\/peel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
