Please check the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/events\/research-month\/\">website<\/a> for full event details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>FPA Research Month celebrates the breadth of research produced in FPA while bringing together graduate and undergraduate students as well as faculty and community members to explore a broad range of societal issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The public and the Carleton community are invited to participate in discussions about the great work Carleton researchers are doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Featured events this year include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bell Lecture: <em>Change, Trends and Canada<\/em>, with Jean Charest, former Quebec Premier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When:<\/strong> February 27, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/campus\/buildings\/richcraft-hall\/\">Richcraft Hall<\/a>, Carleton University<br>\n<strong>Further information and registration:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/events\/the-bell-lecture\/\">https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/events\/the-bell-lecture\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charest will share his perspectives on current international trends, including international trade agreements, technological change, international politics and other topics essential for understanding national and international relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charest will discuss the future of NAFTA and its impact on Canadian business.&nbsp;He will also discuss Canada\u2019s commitment to strengthening its place in the world and addressing global challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visions for Equality: <em>Imagining a world that challenges inequality and celebrates diversity<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by the success of the 2017 conference, <em>Visions for Canada 2042, <\/em>FPA will explore a new topic in 2018: <em>Visions for Equality<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When: March 8, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.<br>\nWhere: <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/campus\/buildings\/richcraft-hall\/\">Richcraft Hall<\/a>, Carleton University<br>\nAgenda and Registration information: <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/visions-for-equality\/\">https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/visions-for-equality\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one-day conference features interdisciplinary panel discussions on topics such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perspectives of Gender and Equality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Because it\u2019s 2018: Feminism, Law and Equality in the Trudeau Era<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It\u2019s Still Cold in Here: Visions for Campus Equality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revolutionary and Post-Revolutionary Visions of Equality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equality in Our World: Global or International Approaches?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building Equity or Inequality?
