The report includes nine categories in which Ontario universities partner to improve the quality of lives of all Ontarians, via health care, community service, research, municipal partnerships and other means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specific examples from Carleton include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Carleton researchers have developed a portable testing device to allow clinics to quickly and accurately test users\u2019 drugs for the deadly additive fentanyl, potentially saving lives, in partnership with the University of Ottawa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carleton\u2019s Immersive Media Studio is building a detailed, digital 3D model of eastern Ontario to help visualize the region\u2019s economic and agricultural activity and aid planners in forging new opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The purchase of Ottawa\u2019s historic Dominion-Chalmers United Church.
