Carleton University\u2019s Technology Innovation Management Program<\/a> (TIM) will host iHack Ottawa 2019<\/em><\/a>, a cybersecurity conference and hacking event featuring expert talks, hands-on workshops and a capture-the-flag hacking challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Saturday, June 15, 2019 at noon; the hacking competition begins at 6 p.m.

The conference features presentations and hands-on workshops run by members of Ottawa\u2019s high-tech community covering a wide range of topics, including forensics, reverse engineering and defence. The iHack capture-the-flag (CTF) hacking challenge is an international competition where Ottawa teams go up simultaneously against teams in other cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iHack Ottawa is dedicated to providing a fun, inclusive and safe learning environment in an effort to narrow the global cybersecurity skills gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Technology Innovation Management Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Carleton\u2019s TIM program trains aspiring entrepreneurs about creating wealth at the early stages of company or opportunity life cycles. It is a master\u2019s-level program leading to a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree, Master of Engineering (MEng) degree or a Master of Entrepreneurship (MEnt).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
