With the holiday season upon us, Carleton experts are available to discuss related topics, including Christmas origins and controversies, Santa Claus and New Year\u2019s resolutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crook is available to discuss the origins of Christmas and related gospel stories, as well as Christian controversies about Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crook has expertise in the areas of Christian origins; historical Jesus; social-scientific interpretation of early Christian writings; and representations of Jesus in modern fiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crook is available for interviews from Dec. 11 onward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Davies is available to discuss topics related to the belief in Santa Claus, as well as New Year\u2019s resolutions and willpower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As director of the Science of Imagination Laboratory, Davies explores computational modelling and artificial intelligence applied to human visual imagination. His work has shown how people use visual thinking to solve problems and how they visualize imagined situations and worlds. He is a frequent contributor to Nautilus<\/em> magazine and is author of Riveted: The Science of How Jokes Make Us Laugh, Movies Make Us Cry, and Religion Makes Us Feel One with the Universe<\/em>. He is co-host of the award-winning Minding the Brain<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
