Each refereed contribution is eligible for consideration and members of CFPJ\u2019s editorial and international advisory board judge the articles based on scholarship, contribution to knowledge and debate, writing style and audience accessibility. The results this year were so close the committee decided to recognize both authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award includes a $500 prize. Past winners include Stephen Brown, Emma Ashford, Erica Chenoweth and Laura Dugan, Christian Leuprecht, Michael Urban, St\u00e9phane Roussel, Daryl Copeland, Kim Nossal, Susan Henders and Mary Young, and David Gordon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the <em>Canadian Foreign Policy Journal<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CFPJ is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal published three times a year by <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/npsia\/\">the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs<\/a> (NPSIA) at Carleton. Established in 1992, CFPJ is now Canada\u2019s leading journal of international affairs. The journal\u2019s international advisory and editorial boards reflect diverse political, disciplinary and professional perspectives. Contributors are from Canada and around the world. Essays are fully referenced, peer-reviewed, authoritative and written for both specialists and non-specialists.&nbsp;Its readers include government officials, academics, students of international affairs, journalists, NGOs and the private sector. He earned a B.A and M.A. in American History at Brigham Young University and the University of Alberta, respectively, and completed his PhD in 2005 at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. He also served as policy analyst for the Western Hemisphere Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) under both President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juneau is an associate professor at the University of Ottawa&#8217;s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
