It focuses specifically on the organization\u2019s use of narratives about America\u2019s past, and its mobilization of collective memory to build the second amendment community from which it draws political strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full wp-image-66074\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"507\" src=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/nra-indy-700w-1.jpg\" alt=\"Noah Schwartz at the NRA Indy event\" class=\"wp-image-66074\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/nra-indy-700w-1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/nra-indy-700w-1-300x217.jpg 300w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/nra-indy-700w-1-400x290.jpg 400w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/162\/nra-indy-700w-1-200x145.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Noah Schwartz<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Storytellers challenge invites post-secondary students from across Canada to showcase their SSHRC-funded projects in presentations under three minutes or 300 words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2020 finalists each received their cash prize of $3,000 and they will be invited to participate in the Storytellers Showcase at the 2021 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
