\n Carleton University\u2019s Music Program Launches Connected Culture: Virtual Music Masterclass Series 2020-2021\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Carleton University\u2019s Music program will launch its Masterclass series, Connected Culture<\/em>, online for the upcoming academic year and will make it available to the public for free beginning September 9, 2020. The series will have two parts: an ongoing Friday series, covering a range of artistic topics, and a new Wednesday series of choral masterclasses, aimed at reaching out to Ottawa\u2019s vibrant choral community.

\nWhen<\/strong>: Beginning September 9, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. The series will run until December 2020.

Both series will be delivered online via Zoom Webinar. The Friday series will be held at 3 p.m. and the Wednesday series will take place at 7:30 p.m. Masterclasses will be recorded for later viewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new choral masterclass series will be hosted by Antonio Llaca, director of choral activities at Carleton. Each instalment of the series is designed to keep choral music and choral training relevant during the pandemic. These sessions will spotlight choral leaders from Canada and around the world, bringing these respected guests to Carleton University\u2019s virtual classroom to share their expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Friday series of masterclasses will be hosted by Carleton Music faculty and will feature guests including New York-based Jazz Pianist D.D Jackson, FreePlay from Toronto and Great Big Soul Project Conductor Roxanne Goodman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
