He will begin on Nov. 16, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full wp-image-69764\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"220\" src=\"https:\/\/newsroom.carleton.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/tony-frost-200w-1.jpg\" alt=\"Tony Frost\" class=\"wp-image-69764\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tony Frost<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In this new and critical role, Frost will be responsible for Carleton\u2019s overall communications strategy, including media relations, public affairs, branding, marketing, and overall reputational enhancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn the heels of the official launch of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/sip\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Carleton University Strategic Integrated Plan<\/a> (SIP) last week, Tony will lead the exciting work of realigning our key messages, storytelling, brand and marketing to enhance the university\u2019s visibility and support at the regional, national and international levels,\u201d said Bacon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frost joins Carleton from the University of Waterloo, where he served as Associate Vice-President of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives. He is a marketing and communications strategist who, for the past 25 years, has worked in higher education with a singular purpose: build reputation and profile to drive institutional success. In addition to Waterloo, he has led brand identity and platform development, execution and measurement at Fanshawe, Mount Allison and Wilfrid Laurier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He holds a BA and MA in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, where his thesis explored how contemporary universities were branded.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"not-prose cu-quote cu-component-spacing\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a real honour for me to join Carleton,\u201d said Frost.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is an extraordinary place with unique and special qualities.
