They see knowledge as not only generated by academics, but also held by the practitioners and communities working with the issues first-hand.

PANL Perspectives generates and curates evidence-based resources and insights about philanthropy and non-profit leadership. It informs professional practice, public policy and thoughtful conversations about the charitable sector in Canada. Articles cover aspects of leadership and governance, social justice and change, public policy, fundraising and social finance.

“The intention behind PANL Perspectives is tied to our approach in delivering the PNL programs,” said Calum Carmichael, interim supervisor and professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA). “Each year we welcome students who are fresh out of undergrad and others who are mid-career. Given that mix, peer-to-peer learning is not just a buzzword – it happens in every class.”

PANEL Perspectives brings these important conversations outside the classroom and engage with practitioners, policymakers, academics, and the public.

The initiative was made possible thanks to the vision and confidence of a philanthropist who saw the need for this type of platform and saw the SPPA, which houses the PNL program, as the best place to host it and the best team to lead this effort.

Media Contact
Steven Reid
Media Relations Officer
Carleton University
613-265-6613
Steven.Reid3@carleton.ca

Follow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/Cunewsroom
COVID 19 Updates: https://newsroom.carleton.ca/coronavirus-covid-19/messages/

Carleton University’s master and graduate diploma programs in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership (PNL) have launched PANL Perspectives, a new platform to mobilize knowledge in the philanthropic and non-profit sector.
