He is available to speak about the need for education in accessibility to create more accessible environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alan Martino&nbsp;<\/strong><br>\nProfessor, Pauline Jewett Institute of Women\u2019s and Gender Studies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email:&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:Alan.SantineleMartino@carleton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alan.SantineleMartino@carleton.ca&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martino&#8217;s primary areas of interest include the sociology of sexualities, sociology of gender, and critical disability studies, as well as their intersections. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 46 adults with intellectual disabilities in Ontario, his current research explores how adults labeled with intellectual disabilities are kept out of sexual fields \u2013 spaces that bring together sexual actors in their pursuit for love, intimacy and pleasure \u2013 through a series of disabling social processes. Martino recently <a href=\"https:\/\/brighterworld.mcmaster.ca\/articles\/covid-19-has-isolated-people-with-disabilities-from-family-love-sex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote a piece<\/a> regarding how COVID-19 has impacted the family and intimate lives of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boris Vukovic<\/strong><br>\nProfessor, School of Industrial Design<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email:&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:boris.vukovic@carleton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">boris.vukovic@carleton.ca&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vukovic has worked at Carleton for more than 15 years supporting the success of students with disabilities \u2013 through leadership, direct student services, faculty development, applied research and professional standards. He has done research related to inclusive teaching practices of university faculty and disability-related assessments and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses. He is a member of the American Educational Research Association, Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
