Carleton University\u2019s Research, Education, Accessibility and Design (READ) Initiative<\/a> is hosting a free, three-day online conference forum, ENABLE Ottawa 2021: Innovations in Assistive and Adaptive Technologies, <\/em>during National Accessibility Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forum will explore how the changing world of assistive and adaptive technologies and design is contributing to the creation of universally accessible experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now in its sixth year, the event provides an inclusive setting for researchers, practitioners, exhibitors, end-users, presenters and other participants to share better practices in a virtual conference setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, ENABLE Ottawa went virtual, hosting cross-sectoral attendees from communities of accessibility professionals, allies and people with lived experience from across the country. This year the virtual event will provide a wide range of opportunities for engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cross-section of accessibility allies from the not-for-profit, public and private sector, universities and individuals with disabilities will present at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
