His expertise spans refugees and forced migration, peacebuilding, United Nations and global governance, and humanitarian action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is specifically available to discuss the international response to the situation in Eastern Europe and the principles that need to guide this response. He is also available to discuss the recent announcement from the Government of Canada on special procedures for Ukrainians coming to Canada, and what this means in a historical context and for future responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information on Milner can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/polisci\/people\/milner\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Milana Nikolko<br>\n<\/strong>Professor, Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at Carleton University<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email<\/strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:milana_nikolko@carleton.ca\">milana_nikolko@carleton.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nikolko is an expert in post-Soviet ethnicity and diaspora. She has taught courses on nation-building, as well as nationalism and ethnic conflict in central and eastern Europe.
