Following the Bank of Canada\u2019s key interest rate hike, Carleton University experts are available to discuss the impact on Canadians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In March, Dehejia was invited to discuss inflation in front of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance. Dehejia\u2019s fields of research include international trade, international economic development and international macroeconomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ian Lee<\/strong>
\nProfessor, Sprott School of Business at Carleton University<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lee has appeared multiple times before the House of Commons and Senate finance, banking, industry and trade committees. He has been in every Government of Canada budget lockup since 2008. He attended pre-budget consultations with the Minister of Finance in 2009 and 2011. His work has appeared in the annual publication How Ottawa Spends concerning Canada\u2019s retirement system, the Parliamentary Budget Officer, deficits, corporate income reform and the Liberal downsizing of 1995-97 and the Conservative Government downsizing of 2010-15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Pomeroy<\/strong>
\nProfessor, School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pomeroy is a housing policy research consultant and is widely recognized as one of the leading housing policy experts in Canada. He has been an adviser to a number of national associations, municipalities, provinces and territories. He is available to discuss the impact of interest rates on housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1994, Pomeroy established Focus Consulting Inc. and since then has completed more than 130 reports and studies and strategies covering issues of socio-economic analysis, homelessness, housing policy and financing. His work also includes a number of comparative studies examining housing systems across a range of countries, compared to Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
