Aguilar-Valles is available to discuss stress and its impact on mental health, as well as treatments for depression, autism, and schizophrenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Aguilar-Valles Lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms that underlie psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders using a combination of models to understand how genetic risk factors contribute to mental illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Buxton

Buxton is available to discuss how soothing nature sounds can reduce stress and benefit individual mental health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buxton\u2019s main research interests include soundscapes, seabird ecology, ecological restoration, and systematic conservation planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda Duxbury

Duxbury is available to discuss issues relating to work-life balance, and the impact of COVID on employee mental health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duxbury has been studying the impact of COVID-19 on employee well-being since March 2020. In partnership with the Ontario Mental Health Association and the Canadian Association of Police, Duxbury has conducted interviews with working parents, which has allowed her team to track the impact of COVID-19 and the various government interventions on employee well-being over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
