The Carleton University Crash Dummy (CUCD) team will perform a rear-end collision test between a motor vehicle and cyclist in co-ordination with the Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit. Due to the impact of recent weather, the tests have been postponed until April 10.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourth-year engineering students, along with professors from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the research-intensive Faculty of Engineering and Design, will participate in the crash test simulation to help the Collision Investigation Unit better understand the impacts of collisions between cyclists and vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Set up begins at 6:30 AM with the first test scheduled for approximately 10 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
