Carment is a series editor for Palgrave\u2019s Canada and International Affairs, editor of Canadian Foreign Policy Journal <\/em>and fellow of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. His research focuses on Canadian foreign policy, mediation and negotiation, fragile states and diaspora politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the author, editor or co-editor of 21 books and has authored or co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. His most recent books focus on diaspora cooperation, corruption in Canada, branding Canadian foreign policy and state fragility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mikhail Polianskii

Polianskii is a post\u2011doctoral researcher at the Leibniz\u2011Institut f\u00fcr Friedens\u2011 und Konfliktforschung Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) in Germany, where he co\u2011leads the comparative project \u201cPATTERN: How Does the Past Matter? The Russian War of Aggression against Ukraine and the Cold War.\u201d His work focuses on Russian foreign and domestic policy, the evolution of transatlantic security institutions, and the dynamics of hybrid warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his tenure at Carleton, Polianskii is pursuing a research agenda on transatlantic security relations, examining in particular the interplay between Russia\u2019s strategic disengagement from European security frameworks and the transformation of transatlantic relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephen Saideman<\/strong>

Saideman is available to discuss Trump\u2019s impact on foreign affairs and defence policy, including NATO. His research interests focus on the causes and consequences of intervention in intra-state conflicts. His current research deals with the role of legislatures in democratic civil-military relations. He teaches courses on contemporary international security, civil-military relations, and United States foreign and defence policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
