There are 4 categories of these awards for physical, human, health and life sciences and there is only one recipient per year across Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PhD candidate <strong>Sarah Jones<\/strong> was selected as this year&#8217;s Eric Dewailly Memorial Award (Health Science) recipient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PhD candidate <strong>Reyd Smith<\/strong> was selected as this year&#8217;s Malcolm Ramsay Award (Life Science) recipient,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PhD candidate <strong>Madelaine Bourdages<\/strong> was selected as this year\u2019s George Hobson Award (Physical Science) recipient,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>and PhD candidate <strong>Ada Loewen<\/strong> received the George Hobson Memorial Award last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are grateful to the Northern Scientific Training Program at Polar Knowledge Canada for contributing to our northern research at Carleton.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are proud to announce that several Carleton NSTP-funded students have won special awards valued at $2500 each.
