NPSIA-PT&D’s program in Negotiation currently consists of two certificate workshops.\u00a0 The 1-day Practical Certificate in Negotiation Skills workshop and the intensive, 4-day Professional Certificate in Intergovernmental and International\u00a0 Negotiation workshop.\u00a0 Both programs feature the SageBargaining\u00ae method developed by our trainers Dr. Michael Dolan and Dr. Brian Tomlin.<\/p>\n

The SageBargaining\u00ae method is an analytical tool created to assist in the establishment of priorities, assess value trade-offs, manage the negotiation process, build coalitions and manage critical stakeholder communication. The program demonstrates the use of various approaches and techniques employed in negotiating, including the selection and application of appropriate strategies and tactics. Analytical and negotiating skills are applied directly in simulated negotiations, and concrete analytical tools are provided for subsequent use in monitoring and managing complex intergovernmental and international affairs.<\/p>\n
