Palmer, Inc., will be this\u00a0<strong>June 1 &#8211; 5,\u00a02015\u00a0<\/strong>at Carleton University in Ottawa, On Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to develop professional skills in protecting national and international Critical Infrastructures, with a focus on pipeline networks and their associated facilities, this workshop\u00a0forms the second part of NPSIA-PT&amp;D&#8217;s PSS Foundation workshop (Parts 1 and 2).\u00a0 Participants who successfully complete this certificate may then take Part 3 of the\u00a0HPI &#8211;\u00a0Pipeline Security Specialist\u2122 course to receive their Master&#8217;s certificate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The next workshop:<\/strong> Monday June\u00a01 to Friday June 5, 2015<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration<\/strong>: To registration for this program is now open.\u00a0 Please click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/npsia-ptd\/?p=2260\">here<\/a> for the registration form.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Training Location: <\/strong>Carleton University,\u00a0 Ottawa, ON, Canada<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parking:<\/strong> free<\/li>\n<li><strong>Language of Instruction:<\/strong> English<\/li>\n<li><strong>Time:<\/strong> 8:00 AM &#8211; 6 PM daily<\/li>\n<li><strong>Program Fee:<\/strong> $ 2,600.00 + HST<\/li>\n<li><strong>Residence option:<\/strong>\u00a0 yes, please contact the Director by email: <a href=\"&#109;&#x61;&#x69;l&#116;&#x6f;:&#98;&#x72;&#x79;&#97;&#x6e;&#x2e;h&#101;&#x6e;d&#101;&#x72;&#x73;&#111;&#x6e;&#x40;c&#97;&#x72;l&#101;&#x74;&#x6f;&#110;&#x2e;&#x63;a\">&#98;&#x72;&#121;&#x61;&#110;&#x2e;&#104;&#x65;&#110;&#x64;&#101;&#x72;&#115;&#x6f;&#110;&#x40;&#99;&#x61;&#114;&#x6c;&#101;&#x74;&#111;&#x6e;&#46;&#x63;a<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information about the PSS program please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pipelinesecurity.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.pipelinesecurity.ca<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT &#8211; The Advanced Certificate is presently only available to those who register to participate in the Professional Certificate workshop,\u00a0from\u00a0June 2 to 6,\u00a02014.\u00a0<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Previous PSS alumni wishing to take \/ re-take Part 2 of the PSS must contact the Director.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This\u00a05-day\u00a0workshop focuses on practical field exercises and demonstrations\u00a0in Operational Skills including\u00a0the development of Right of Way (ROW) inspection techniques,\u00a0Incident Scene Data collection, and the analysis of incident location elements.\u00a0 Participants <strong>MUST\u00a0<\/strong>have a level of fitness and health sufficient to participate in out-door activities including walking 2-6 KM per day.\u00a0 Participants will also be required to supply their own kit including steel-toed boots, helmet, goggles and gloves.<\/p>\n<p>Participants complete the program with the Advanced Certificate in\u00a0International-Critical Infrastructure Protection,\u00a0Pipeline and Linear Network Security\u00a0and, pending an administrative review, will then be allowed to proceed to the final part 3 component of the HPI &#8211;\u00a0Pipeline Security Specialist \u2122 credential.<\/p>\n<p>Note. the satisfactory completion of Part 1 of the PSS, either through NPSIA-PT&amp;D or through other PSS sanctioned training, is a prerequisite for participation in the Advanced Certificate in\u00a0International-Critical Infrastructure Protection, Pipeline and Linear Network Security workshop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who should participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All prospective candidates must have successfully completed Part 1\u00a0of the PSS prior to starting this workshop.\u00a0 Candidates will be vetted and must provide corporate credentials certifying that they are\u00a0professionals who have, are or will be employed in the field of industrial protection.<\/p>\n<p>HPI and NPSIA-PT&amp;D reserve the right to exclude any prospective candidate from this workshop on a \u2018Without Prejudice Basis.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT &#8211; International Candidates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prospective candidates seeking to participate in this workshop and who require visas for entry to Canada MUST complete their registration WITH payment by the prescribed date on the workshop registration form to\u00a0receive a Letter of Welcome, validating their entry to Canada for the duration as a training program participant.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE!!!!!!
