We are delighted to share that Bonnie A. Butlin, a NPSIA alumna (2011) has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for her exemplary contributions to the fields of national security, geostrategic analysis, and cybersecurity.

As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Security Partners’ Forum (SPF), Ms. Butlin has established herself as a global leader in fostering collaboration among security professionals across diverse sectors. Her commitment to promoting diversity within the field is evident through her creation of the Women in Security and Resilience Alliance (WISECRA), which connects women’s security and resilience groups worldwide.

Ms. Butlin’s extensive career includes serving on the advisory board of the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity and participating in the Women in Cyber Capacity Building Network under the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise. She holds a variety of professional certifications, including the Security Risk Management Certified Professional (SRMCP) designation, and is a Fellow of (ISC)², a global leader in cybersecurity training and certifications.

Among her many accolades, Ms. Butlin has been named one of the Top Security Influencers by the International Security Journal for three consecutive years (2021–2023). Additionally, she received Carleton University’s A.D. Dunton Alumni Award of Distinction in 2019, further cementing her legacy as an influential figure in the security field.
