Irfan Yar’s research interest focuses on Security issues, particularly on terrorism. He has published in the Hill Times, The National Post, the Toronto Sun, The Epoch Times, The Diplomat Magazines, and elsewhere. He was honored to co-authored a policy paper with prof. Alex S. Wilner on Canadian foreign fighters previously, he has worked with the Macdonald Laurier Institute, the Observer Research Foundation, and Carnegie India. He speaks, English, German, Pashto, Persian/Dari, Urdu, Hindi, and basic Arabic
Currently, Irfan’s research essay focus on the Taliban’s movement in Afghanistan. His key research question is why did the Taliban survive?
