Its objective is to bring together experts with diverse backgrounds and differing views to better inform our understanding of these challenges and their policy implications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This series is inspired by Ambassador William Barton, whose long diplomatic career included serving as Canada&#8217;s Ambassador to the United Nations, the President of the UN Security Council, and Canada\u2019s representative to the Conference of the Committee on Disarmament.
