Manulak&#8217;s<\/a> forthcoming book&nbsp;<em><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">The Ghost in Geneva: The Untold History of the League of Nations\u2014And Why it Matters Now<\/strong><\/em>, which revisits the rise and fall of the League of Nations and challenges the familiar view that it was doomed from the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drawing on the League\u2019s successes and its collapse in the crises of the 1930s, it argues that failure was neither inevitable nor simply institutional: governments made choices that weakened collective security while misunderstanding their own national interests.
