His research focused predominantly on violent extremism in Canada, the United States, and Western Europe. At NPSIA, Kevin served as a PhD representative to the faculty and was a regular contributor to iAffairs Canada, a student run journal. He is the recipient of multiple research grants, scholarships, and awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kevin served as the lead researcher on a NPSIA\/Collins Aerospace joint research project, funded through MINDS Canada and the Department of National Defence, that investigated the impacts of emerging technology on Canadian defence policy. In this role, Kevin interviewed more than 35 defence experts, including policymakers from DND, CAF, DRDC, and NORAD, as well as practitioners working in private industry and academia. Kevin has presented his work at several conferences and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside of the academy, Kevin has extensive experience working in Canadian politics. He has served in various capacities for Members of Parliament, in the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, and most recently in the \u201cwar room\u201d of a major political party.
