While at TI-UK Philip had the privilege to be part of the development team for the concept of Unexplained Wealth Orders that became part of the UK\u2019s Criminal Finances Act 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philip is a visiting researcher at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and Adam Smith Fellow at George Mason University&#8217;s Mercatus Center. He has comprehensive training in: Conflict Management, Gender and Conflict, International Policy, as well as Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philip speaks English and Portuguese and spends his free time reading novels and supporting Liverpool FC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philip&#8217;s ongoing research revolves around violence and the governance of smuggling markets in Brazil and its neighbouring countries.
