An email will be sent out to students with application details and deadlines each term.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n                            <\/header>\n\n                    <\/div>\n\n            <\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"co-op-eligibility\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Co-op Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As per Carleton\u2019s Graduate Studies Calendar, to be eligible for admission to co-op, NPSIA students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have successfully completed by the end of their first term of academic study:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/search\/?P=INAF%205016\">INAF&nbsp;5016<\/a>[0.5] Statistical Analysis for International Affairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/search\/?P=INAF%205017\">INAF&nbsp;5017<\/a>[0.25] International Policymaking in Canada: Structure and Process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/search\/?P=INAF%205018\">INAF&nbsp;5018<\/a>[0.25] Law and International Affairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>0.5 credit in INAF course of student\u2019s choosing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have successfully completed by the start-date of the first work term:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>0.5 credit in INAF Economics course required for student\u2019s field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.0 credit in INAF course(s) of student\u2019s choosing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be registered as a full-time student in each academic term prior to a work term; and,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be eligible to work in Canada (for off-campus work terms).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">NOTE: Students will be prevented from participating in the co-op program if the School deems that they have not made satisfactory progress in their academic program.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are eligible to participate in the Coop program for one to <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">two work terms<\/strong>. (<em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Note: MA\/JD students are eligible to participate for one work term<\/em>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A co-op&nbsp;work term&nbsp;may be undertaken during any of the co-op cycles (January, May or September).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students undertaking a co-op&nbsp;work term&nbsp;may request a temporary change to part-time status for the terms in which they are enrolled in the co-op program.&nbsp;This change in status will enable them to take one evening course (0.5 credit) and pay part-time fees.&nbsp; Coop students are not allowed to register in daytime classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that coop students with funding packages will not receive funding while on part-time status. Their TA funding will resume with the next full-time term of enrolment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To graduate with a co-op designation on their transcripts, students must successfully complete two co-op work terms.
