Students in NURS 2016: Introduction to Health Information Technology recently completed their final digital poster presentations at Carleton University, sharing creative and thoughtful work on the future of nursing, health care, data, and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are sharing their posters to the visitors<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Taught by Professor Danielle Manley, the course introduces students to key topics shaping digital health, including health information technology, electronic health records, privacy, cybersecurity, interoperability, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the future of digital nursing practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the final presentations, all students created digital posters and had the opportunity to engage with faculty, visiting scholars, staff, and members from Carleton\u2019s partner healthcare organizations throughout the National Capital Region. Through these conversations, students shared their ideas, reflected on current challenges in health care, and explored how innovation can support safer, more connected, and more patient-centred nursing practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentations also planted important seeds for the future of nursing. By connecting classroom learning with real-world questions in digital health, students considered how technology, data, and evidence-informed practice can help transform health systems and improve care for patients, communities, and health professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
