Registration for non-Carleton nursing students will open July 1st 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Registration must be completed through the <a href=\"https:\/\/cpr.heartandstroke.ca\/s\/courses?language=en_US\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/cpr.heartandstroke.ca\/s\/courses?language=en_US\">Heart and Stroke Foundation&#8217;s registration page<\/a> prior to registering below<\/strong><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">. Please use the same course code when registering. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Carleton University Simulation Collaborative (CUSC) offers Basic Life Support (BLS) training for students, healthcare professionals, and community members seeking certification or renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our courses are the Heart and Stroke BLS curricullum and provide participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to respond confidently in emergency situations. Training includes high-quality CPR, automated external defibrillator (AED) use, and team-based emergency response techniques. Particpants who pass the course recieve a Heart and Stroke Foundation certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"bls-initial-certification\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">BLS Initial Certification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The BLS Initial Certification Course is designed for individuals who have not previously completed a CPR or BLS certification course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Duration: 5 hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start Time: 10:00 a.m. (participants should arrive 15 minutes early)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost: $60 (includes BLS manual)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration through the Heart &amp;
