The law professor was invested into the Order of Ontario in January in recognition of her lifelong dedication as an educator and legal scholar. In June, the Law Society of Upper Canada presented her with the degree Doctor of Laws, honoris causa.<\/p>\n<p>Ogilvie\u2019s research interests include contract law, banking law, and law and theology. Consulted widely as a legal expert, she has been a visiting scholar at educational institutions abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Ogilvie was designated a chancellor\u2019s professor in 2002\u2014a title granted only to distinguished faculty at Carleton by the president of the university. Other honours include induction as a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1993, receipt of the David W.
