The AAC offers advising sessions for students who are experiencing academic difficulty, need assistance understanding their academic audit, want to ensure they are fulfilling their degree program\u2019s academic requirements. <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/awards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Awards and Financial Aid<\/a><br \/>\n202 Pigiarvik (\u1431\u148b\u140a\u1550\u1555\u1483)<br \/>\n613-520-3600<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Awards and Financial Aid office administers various financial aid and awards programs to reward academic achievement and to provide financial assistance. The office is responsible for the administration of undergraduate scholarships (entrance and prestige), bursary and work study programs. It also administers government-sponsored financial aid programs such as the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/career\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Career Services<\/a><br \/>\n401 Tory Building<br \/>\n613-520-6611<br \/>\n<\/strong>Career Services is Carleton University\u2019s on-campus centre for career development and exploration, employment preparation, and the primary place to find experiential learning opportunities for all current students and alumni. Career Services offers one-on-one career advising sessions to help students identify key connections between their degree, interests, and future career paths, learn how to implement effective job search and networking strategies, review their resume and\/or cover letter, prepare for job interviews, and explore post-graduate education options. Their services, workshops, events, and professional development programs help students develop key employability skills and build connections with industry professionals. Students can meet and network with prospective employers and learn about upcoming employment opportunities at Career Services\u2019 on-campus career fairs, networking nights, and employer recruitment sessions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/csas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Centre for Student Academic Support<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>4th Floor MacOdrum Library<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>613-520-3822<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) designs, develops and implements evidence-informed educational programs and services to support all Carleton University students to have successful academic experiences. Located on the fourth floor of the MacOdrum Library, CSAS offers academic assistance with course content, academic writing and study skills development.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Co-operative Education<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>1400 Carleton Technology &amp; Training Centre<br \/>\n613-520-4331<br \/>\n<\/strong>Carleton\u2019s Co-operative Education Program is an excellent way for students to get a head start on building their career. Through co-op, students develop key employability skills, create a network of industry professionals, and gain valuable, degree-related work experience while earning money to help reduce student debt. All co-op work terms are full-time, paid positions monitored by the Co-op Office. Successful co-op students graduate with 12 to 20 months of hands-on work experience \u2013 giving them a competitive edge once they enter the job market. The co-op option is offered in a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/athletics.carleton.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Recreation and Athletics<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Athletics Building<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>613-520-2600 ext. 5655<br \/>\n<\/strong>As the active hub on campus, the Department of Recreation and Athletics is dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of sport, fitness and recreational opportunities for our students and the Carleton University community.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/fita\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">From Intention to Action (FITA)<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>4th floor MacOdrum Library<br \/>\n613-520-2600 ext. 1028<br \/>\n<\/strong>The From Intention to Action (FITA) program supports undergraduate and graduate students in the often stressful university experience. We help students to better manage stress and improve their academic performance, adjusting to their lifestyle in a healthy way. FITA students meet one-on-one with a coordinator for one hour every week for 12 consecutive weeks. Our coordinators are staff members or Master\u2019s-level interns trained in counselling and learning strategies. The most common ways we help are: stress management, coping skills, time management and learning strategies.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health and Counselling Services<\/a><br \/>\n2600 Carleton Technology and Training Centre<br \/>\n613-520-6674<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Health and Counselling Services (HCS) offers a combination of medical care and mental health services. Students can access medical and counselling appointments as well as urgent same day appointments between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Monday to Friday by calling 613-520-6674. Some appointments are now available to book online. If your student requires crisis or urgent support, please call 613-520-6674 and inform the Patient Care Coordinator, or advise them to arrive in person to the counselling clinic (2500 Carleton Technology and Training Centre Building) and indicate they are in crisis. All health records are confidential.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/housing.carleton.ca\/\">Housing and Residence Life Services<\/a><br \/>\n261 Stormont House<br \/>\n613-520-5612<br \/>\n<\/strong>Housing and Residence Life Services works to create student focused residence community and strives to continuously provide quality service to support our residents. We are committed to providing opportunities for personal growth and academic development while promoting a safe and inclusive living environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/isso\">International Student Services Office<\/a><br \/>\n128 Nideyin\u00e0n<br \/>\n613-520-6600<br \/>\n<\/strong>The International Student Services Office (ISSO) centralizes all services for registered international students and administers exchange programs for outgoing and incoming students. The ISSO offers services and programs that contribute to positive international experiences for all Carleton students. The ISSO is dedicated to helping international and exchange students adjust to life in Canada and to helping them get the most out of their student experience. The ISSO supports and encourages Carleton students in gaining international exposure both locally and abroad through volunteer opportunities, international internships and co-op, and participation in exchange or study abroad programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/pmc\">Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities<\/a><br \/>\n500 Nideyin\u00e0n<br \/>\n613-520-6608<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Paul Menton Centre (PMC) is the designated department at Carleton University coordinating disability services on campus. The PMC works in partnership with the Carleton community to increase accessibility and integration of students with disabilities into all aspects of university life. The mission of the PMC is to foster equal access to the university experience for students with disabilities while maintaining academic standards through provision of academic accommodations and support services. The PMC provides services and accommodations to Carleton students with documented disabilities. Delivery of services and accommodations is based on the core values of integration, individualization and independence, and are integrated to the extent that is possible, varying from student-to-student depending on individual disability-related needs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ses\/\"><strong>Scheduling and Exam Services<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>508 Nideyin\u00e0n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>613-520-2600<\/strong><br \/>\nScheduling and Exam Services (SES) is the department mandated with creating course timetables and coordinating formally scheduled final examinations on behalf of the university community. SES provides five essential services to our university community: space management\/room bookings, course timetabling, scheduling and administering examinations, the McIntyre Exam Centre and proctor services for external exams.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/studentaffairs\">Student Affairs<\/a><br \/>\n430 Tory Building<br \/>\n613-520-2573<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Office of Student Affairs works closely with campus and community stakeholders to create and maintain a safe and supportive working and learning environment. This includes responding to concerns under the Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy, supporting the administration of the Carleton University Sexual Violence Policy, and advancement of the Carleton University Umbrella Project substance use health and harm reduction strategy.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/seo\">Student Experience Office<\/a><br \/>\n430 Tory Building<br \/>\n613-520-7595<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Student Experience Office (SEO) is one of students\u2019 first stops when they arrive at Carleton University! The SEO facilitates student-centered learning that enhances the university experience by offering transition support, leadership opportunities and experiential learning programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.carleton.ca\/\">Undergraduate Recruitment Office and Admissions Services<\/a><br \/>\n315 Pigiarvik (\u1431\u148b\u140a\u1550\u1555\u1483)<br \/>\n613-520-3663 or 1-888-354-4414 (toll-free in Canada)<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Undergraduate Recruitment Office (URO) and Admissions Services recruit and admit the best and brightest students to Carleton University. The Undergraduate Recruitment Office is the \u201cwelcome centre\u201d for prospective undergraduate students and provides information about Carleton and represents all undergraduate programs and services. Together, URO and Admissions Services respond to prospective student inquiries (email, phone and in person) and support them through the entire admission process. Also within Admissions Services is the International Admissions and Recruitment unit that contributes to the overall admission targets of the university by bringing the Carleton message to students abroad.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\">Registrar\u2019s Office<\/a><br \/>\n300 Tory Building<br \/>\n613-520-3500<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Registrar\u2019s Office manages the academic activities of all undergraduate and special students. The mission of the Office of the Vice-President (S&amp;E) is to provide comprehensive support for students from their first point of contact with the university through to graduation.
