Move-out registration begins Monday, March 8th, 2018 on a first–come, first-serve basis. If you plan to move-out between April 16th to April 26th between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., or on April 27th between 8:00 am to 11:30am you must register for a 30-minute move-out time.
To register, go to your ParkAdmin profile and select the Residence Move-Out Form. If you have not created an account and registered a vehicle with Parking Services, you will be required to complete a profile and asked to provide a contact phone number so that we may get in touch with you during move-out if necessary. Choose the “Residence Move-Out” form from the Forms icon on the main screen after logging in and follow the instructions. Print/Save the confirmation page once your form has been submitted so you can place this receipt on the dash of your vehicle during move-out.
How It Works
Move-out registration enables you to park closest to your residence building (options are listed in the Residence Move-Out Form). There is a limit on the number of vehicles permitted to be parked in designated residence locations during each 30-minute time slot. You may not change your time slot once registered online, but you may contact the Parking Services Office before April 17th, if you require additional changes. Even if you are using a moving company, you must register for a time slot.
Remember, you are registering for a 30-minute time slot for loading close to your residence building (per the locations listed in the Residence Move-Out Form). Times will not be extended if you arrive late. For example, if you arrive at 9:45 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. time slot, you will only have 15 minutes to park in that area. Vehicles that are in an incorrect area or parked in an area outside of the time slot, may receive a $50 ticket per vehicle and the vehicle(s) may towed from the area.
When arriving on campus, please follow the parking and traffic signs and park in the designated waiting area (Lot P6 – the large outdoor parking area located to the North of the Residence Precinct) before and after loading up from the residence that you are moving out of – with your Residence Move-Out permit displayed.
Preparing Your Departure
Prior to parking in any move-out area, students must first be packed and ready to go – just awaiting conveyance of items to the curb. Vehicles must not be left unattended while parked in designated pick-up areas. After loading belongings and before allotted time is up, vehicles must be moved to Lot P6 – please refer to the CU Campus Map – http://carleton.ca/campus/map/ for parking area/lot locations.
