Carleton University was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in 2024<\/a> for the second consecutive year. This is a proud achievement for the university. Carleton was also named a Top Employer in the National Capital Region in 2023 for the ninth consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excellence Canada – The Excellence, Innovation, and Wellness Standard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The People, Finance and Operations division has been following the Excellence Canada framework since 2011, when it was referred to as the Quality Framework. Since that time, the division has achieve Bronze (2014), Silver (2015) and Gold levels (2017) within the Excellence, Innovation and Wellness standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are four levels<\/a> of the Excellence, Innovation and Wellness standard: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. The standard revolves around six key drivers. In this way, Excellence Canada provides not only a definition of what constitutes an \u2018excellent\u2019 organization, but a staged \u2018road map\u2019 that identifies what we need to have in place before moving onto the next stage. The six drivers are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Strategy and Planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Process and Project Management <\/i><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Customer Experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Partners and Suppliers<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. People Engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Leadership and Governance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    These drivers form a formal, comprehensive approach to continuous improvement.  And the good news is that we have strengths in ALL of these drivers today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The university has also followed the Healthy Workplace certification<\/a> from a university-wide perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
