\n 2024-2025 University Holiday Closure\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Carleton University will be closed for the holiday season from end of business hours on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024 <\/strong>and reopen at the start of business hours on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should you wish to take vacation days to extend the holiday period noted above, please ensure you discuss your request with your manager and, if approved, include all leave on your monthly report. We encourage managers to support extended leave requests where possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holiday Building Closures<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the holiday closure period, all campus buildings will be locked. Authorized students, faculty and staff may gain access using their Campus Card at card readers in buildings equipped with that technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty and staff are encouraged to arrange for any required access prior to the holiday closure by contacting your Department Chair and\/or Department Administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campus Safety Services (CSS) will provide access to buildings on an emergency basis only. The CSS Communication Centre can be reached at 613-520-4444 in emergencies, and 613-520-3612 for general enquiries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Library<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MacOdrum Library will close on Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. and reopen Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. For more information, visit the Library website. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule and Examinations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fall 2024 final examinations take place from Dec. 9 to 21, 2024. The Scheduling and Examination Services office will be opened extended hours on Monday, Dec. 23 (8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Tuesday, Dec. 24 (8:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a.m. to Noon) for pick-up of completed examinations written on Saturday, Dec. 21 through the McIntyre Exam Centre. All pick-ups will take place in Nideyin\u00e0n 133.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recreation and Athletics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Athletics facilities will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024 and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. For more information regarding specific facility operations over the holidays, including the Ice House, Fitness Centre and Pool, please visit the Athletics website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residence and Dining Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residence will be closed for the holiday period. Only those students who have registered, received permission and paid to remain, will be eligible to stay in residence over the holiday closure. For all others, residence will be closed from noon on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, until noon on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last meal served in the dining hall will be breakfast which ends at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024. During the closure period, no dining service outlets will be open. The first meal served in the dining hall will be dinner on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
