This past weekend, members of our department helped judge the Ontario Ethics Bowl<\/a>! This annual event provides an opportunity for teams of high school students to discuss ethical dilemmas taking place at the forefront of our world. Such dilemmas might include: how we ought to deal with assisted-death, artificial intelligence, and gene editing.<\/p>\n

Volunteers from our department included Professors Melissa Frankel & Kyla Bruff, Dr. Matthew Scarfone, and Ethics and Public Affairs (EPAF)<\/a> PhD student Ann Cronin-Cossette. Many Carleton alumni also represented other departments, and a great time was had by all!<\/p>\n
